Custom pottery requires a 50% nonrefundable deposit and takes 4-6 weeks to complete.
In order for me to start your special pottery item, a deposit is required. Once the deposit is made I will begin your special pottery piece and it will take anywhere from 4 to 6 weeks to complete. If your item cannot be made in that time I will contact you to provide an explanation and arrive at an agreement or a full refund will be provided.
Why does it take 4-6 weeks? To maintain a cost effective business I must ensure my kiln is full before I fire it. This requires weeks of work throwing the item, allowing it to dry, firing it to bisque, glazing all of the items for the line, and firing a final glaze fire.
Pottery is heavy and fragile, and because of this it requires extra packaging (bubble wrap, filler material) to be adequately protected during transit. In an effort to keep costs down, I use the USPS Regional Rate Shipping. If you need your item more quickly, please contact me to use a faster service.
If your item is a gift, and you do not want an invoice enclosed in the package as I normally do, please send me a message letting me know. I will also enclose a gift card from you upon request.
I ship to the address you provide.
Shipping costs to and from are not refundable. If there is a need to return an item, it must be sent insured.
Returns and Refunds
I make every effort to properly package your pottery to avoid breakage. Please contact me if the item(s) arrive damaged and I will make arrangement for the appropriate replacement or refund.(For insurance and replacement purposes, photos of damage work are needed.)
I want you to be happy with your purchase. If for any reason you are not satisfied, please contact me so I can assure your satisfaction.
If you wish to return the product, please contact me within 10 days with your intention to return it.
Items should be returned no later than 15 days after receipt for a full refund. A 50% refund will be issued if items are returned 30 days after purchase (to compensate for having had the items out of the shop for that period of time). I am sorry, but I cannot refund items that are not returned to me within 30 days.
Shipping costs, to and from, are not refundable. Return shipments must be sent insured.
